Week 11

I hope everyone had a great break. We are looking forward to getting back to practice for all tomorrow and getting a great start to our outdoor season.

Over break, MiKenna Robinson, Riley Ammenhauser, and Corinna Pena participated in the Illinois Prep Top Times meet at Illinois Wesleyan. They each had amazing showings with great times, great jumping, and a new indoor record to boot! Full results for the 3A meet can be found at

MiKenna Robinson (JR) ran in the 400m Dash where she finished 3rd with a PR of 57.24.

Riley Ammenhauser (FR) participated in the triple jump where she finished 4th with a jump of 38'1.5.

Corinna Pena (SR) ran in the 1600M where she ran sub 5:00 for the first time, breaking the record she set at the indoor conference meet. Her time of 4:59.84 placed her third overall!

Congratulations to all!

Saturday,  April 7 Varsity Buffalo Grove Invitational- lineup available by Thursday, April 5th

All practices will be after school from 2:45pm -5:00pm. Athletes should plan to meet outside for our team meeting. If the weather is not cooperating, look for a sign on the locker room door where to meet.

Spring can bring lots of variety in the weather. Please dress in layers which includes hats and gloves. Also, please bring your own water bottle to practice.

The weather brings with it some challenges at meets. We suggest investing in a good pair of black tights and a long sleeve white shirt to wear under your uniform. Also, athletes can wear 1/4" spikes at every outdoor meet. Please let me know if you need additional spikes.

Meet against Naperville North

The lineup for this meet will be available after practice on Monday.  The weather forecast is not looking favorable, so please check your email for the possibility of this meet being cancelled. However, if this meet is a go, we would love to have any parents help with field events, timing, and concessions. Please send me an email if you can help in this way.
